1The Challenge

What was the challenge?

a leading e-commerce brand brought together their team in India with a clear mandate: strengthen team cohesion, break down silos, and build the kind of trust that translates into real performance. 40 women leaders from Paytm Insider collaborated with Thought Bulb to celebrate International Women's Day on a virtual platform. The objective was to provide them with a platform to express themselves freely and share a message about womanhood. To achieve this, the teams participated in a Virtual Movie Making Challenge.

2Our Solution

What solution did we design?

The Thought Bulb designed a fully custom virtual Women's Day Celebration Programme across India for the team. Every element was built from scratch around a leading e-commerce brand's objectives — the challenge design, team compositions, facilitation rhythm, and debrief structure were all tailored to produce specific outcomes. The programme blended structured problem-solving with high-energy collaborative challenges, ensuring both sustained engagement and genuine behavioural learning throughout. No off-the-shelf modules, no generic facilitation — every minute of the session was intentional.

3How We Did It

How was the programme delivered?

a) Icebreaker Session: The virtual session began with an easy breezy icebreaker session conducted by the facilitator. This session helped to create a light and engaging atmosphere, setting the stage for the movie-making challenge. b) Virtual Movie Making: The participants were divided into breakout rooms and given the task to draft a script, enact dialogues, and become award-winning actors for a day. Facilitators moved around the breakout rooms, providing assistance and recording the movies created by each team. c) Movie Screening and Awards: Once all the teams reconvened, the movies were telecasted and scored based on their performances. An emulated filmy award ceremony took place, where awards were presented for categories such as Best Actor, Best Choreographer, Best Dance Performance, Queen of Comedy, and more. d) Blooper Video and Conclusion: Towards the end of the session, an in-house expert film maker created a blooper video, showcasing funny and entertaining moments from the movie-making process. The video was shown to the participants before concluding the session.

4Key Outcomes

What were the results?

The debrief session focused on the following points: a) Creativity: The Virtual Movie Making Challenge provided a platform for participants to express their creativity through scriptwriting, acting, and choreography, allowing them to showcase their unique talents. b) Celebrations: The Women's Day celebration was conducted in a festive manner, emulating a filmy award ceremony, which added a touch of excitement and joy to the virtual event. c)Team Synergy: The collaborative nature of the movie-making challenge fostered teamwork and synergy among the participants as they worked together to create their movies." The team completed the programme with an overall satisfaction score of 9.2/10. Facilitation quality was independently rated 9.3/10. a leading e-commerce brand reported a visible and sustained improvement in cross-team communication in the weeks following the programme — and subsequently engaged The Thought Bulb for a follow-up session.
