What was the challenge?

A Business team of 25 people at Bosch came together to convey & promote their values and cultural elements throughout the organisation by putting their ideas into action & using the power of effective storytelling.

What solution did we design?

To explore the power of storytelling, The Thought Bulb proposed The Movie Making Challenge to the business team at Bosch. This challenge involved dividing the participants into teams and tasking them with creating a short movie. The goal was to tap into their creative minds and use storytelling as a tool to effectively convey relevant messages.

3How We Did It

How was the programme delivered?

Icebreakers: To charge up the group and foster a connection, a quick 5-10 minute icebreaker activity was conducted. This allowed team members to get to know each other better and create a positive atmosphere for the main activity. Activity: The Thought Bulb facilitated The Movie Making Challenge by providing the necessary resources (Ipads for filming & editing, Props) and guidance to the teams. Participants were encouraged to brainstorm ideas, develop scripts, and bring their stories to life through filmmaking. They learned how to use visual storytelling techniques, such as cinematography and editing, to enhance the impact of their messages. Award Show: After the movies are completed participants are immersed in a highly engaging awards ceremony where all the created movies are screened for all the participants and Awards are given based on best performances and storylines etc.

What were the results?

The Movie Making Challenge by The Thought Bulb addressed the following key points: a) Power of storytelling as a means of communication. they discovered how compelling narratives can make messages more memorable and impactful. b) The teams tapped into their creative minds to develop unique stories & worked collaboratively, pooling their diverse skills and perspectives. c) Participants learned how to align their stories with the desired objectives, ensuring that the movies effectively communicated the intended message. Overall, Bosch's business team successfully harnessed the power of storytelling to convey their values and cultural elements, creating a lasting impact throughout the organization."
