Agra Heritage Trail & Airbus Movie Making with Airbus in Agra

1The Challenge

What was the challenge?

Airbus's participants were global leaders arriving from different countries — many experiencing India for the first time. The brief was as much about cultural connection as team bonding: help these leaders explore Indian culture, connect across geographies and backgrounds, and do it in a way that felt genuinely immersive rather than touristic. With only 17 participants, this was an intimate group — and intimacy at that level of seniority requires a programme that respects both the intelligence of the audience and the significance of the setting.

2Our Solution

What solution did we design?

The Thought Bulb designed a full-day experience in two distinct acts, each using Agra as its canvas in a completely different way. The morning belonged to the Agra Heritage Trail — a city-wide exploration through the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, and Agra's local markets, with facilitators accompanying each team in their own cab and guiding them through challenges at each landmark. The afternoon brought everyone back to the hotel for Airbus Movie Making — teams wrote, shot, and produced their own short films on the theme "A Day at Airbus". Props including puppets and saffa added colour and character, and the screening that followed gave every team a chance to see how their colleagues had interpreted the brief.

3How We Did It

How was the programme delivered?

The day began at 10 AM with four teams splitting into separate cabs, each accompanied by a dedicated facilitator. The Agra Heritage Trail took them through three iconic locations — the Taj Mahal, the Red Fort, and the winding lanes of the local markets — with challenges woven into each stop requiring teamwork, observation, and engagement with the city. By 3 PM, teams were back at the hotel for Airbus Movie Making. Armed with props, a brief, and the creative energy of a morning well spent, teams spent two hours bringing their vision to life on film. The puppets and traditional saffa added Indian texture to the productions. The screening brought all four films together in a genuine film premiere atmosphere.

4Key Outcomes

What were the results?

17 global leaders. 4 teams. 1 city that had a lot to say. The Agra Heritage Trail & Airbus Movie Making programme delivered an experience that moved from cultural discovery in the morning to creative expression in the afternoon — the kind of day that builds real connections precisely because it asks people to be present, curious, and playful together. The film premiere was the perfect close: every team had a story to tell, and the room had shared the same extraordinary canvas.
