1The Challenge
What was the challenge?
New Age Products wanted to do something grand for their offsite in Mumbai — not just a fun day out, but an experience that would genuinely bring 180 people together. Their leadership team specifically wanted employees to connect beyond their usual circles. They also wanted to incorporate a CSR element, making the day meaningful beyond the team itself. The key challenge was designing a programme that could handle a large group without losing intimacy — one where employees would walk away knowing new colleagues by name, not just by department.
2Our Solution
What solution did we design?
The centrepiece was Drone Around the World — an innovative, technology-led activity where teams virtually pilot drones across global landmarks, combining strategic thinking, coordination, and quick decision-making. With 18 teams each commanding their own drone, the activity demanded tight communication within teams while keeping the energy competitive and upbeat across the room. To address the leadership team's ask for meaningful connections, a custom networking energiser was designed — warmer and more layered than speed networking — helping participants discover unexpected commonalities. A CSR element was woven in through a curated NGO initiative.
3How We Did It
How was the programme delivered?
180 participants were divided into 18 teams of 10, each assigned their own drone for the Drone Around the World challenge. Teams navigated a series of missions inspired by iconic global destinations — each requiring a different mix of strategy, communication, and coordination. The custom networking energiser set the tone before the main activity, breaking participants out of their default groups and sparking conversations that went beyond work roles. The CSR element gave the day an added layer of meaning, reminding participants that great teams don't just perform together — they also give back together. The winning team took home a gift hamper.
4Key Outcomes
What were the results?
The programme delivered on every front — high participation energy, genuine new connections formed, and a sense of collective achievement that carried well beyond the day. The Drone Around the World challenge proved to be a standout hit: accessible enough for everyone, competitive enough to get teams fired up, and memorable long after the event. The networking energiser achieved exactly what the leadership team wanted — participants broke out of silos, had real conversations, and left with new names and faces. 180 participants. 18 teams. One unforgettable offsite in Mumbai.
