1The Challenge
What was the challenge?
Salesforce brought 1,600 senior leaders and managers together at HICC in Hyderabad for an offsite with a CSR objective. The programme needed to bring a large group into one shared experience within a single hour, while connecting the activity to a meaningful contribution beyond the event itself. With 170 teams taking part, the experience had to give each team a clear role and a tangible goal. Rather than making the session only about participation, the opportunity was to combine teamwork and hands-on problem-solving with a practical outcome that could benefit people in need.
2Our Solution
What solution did we design?
The Thought Bulb designed the Water Drop Challenge around 170 water purifiers, with one dismantled RO (reverse osmosis) water purifier assigned to each team. Teams were tasked with assembling their purifier and decorating it, turning the activity into a hands-on challenge with a purpose beyond the event. The plan connected the team experience directly to Salesforce's CSR objective: once the challenge was complete, all 170 assembled water purifiers would be donated to an NGO supporting people in need. Each team's work contributed to a shared target — preparing one purifier for donation.
3How We Did It
How was the programme delivered?
The one-hour indoor programme took place at HICC, Hyderabad, on 29 September 2026, bringing together 1,600 senior leaders and managers across 170 teams. Each team received one dismantled RO water purifier. Teams worked to assemble the machine and then decorate it. To support the large-scale setup, the 170 purifiers were placed under the tables the night before the event, ready for the teams to begin. The challenge concluded with the target achieved: all 170 water purifiers were assembled for donation to the NGO.
4Key Outcomes
What were the results?
The Water Drop Challenge achieved its target, with 170 water purifiers prepared for donation — one from each team. The purifiers were donated to an NGO serving people in need. For Salesforce, the programme connected a large-scale team experience with a concrete CSR outcome. Across 1,600 senior leaders and managers, 170 teams worked towards the same goal — making the session about more than completing a challenge: it was about contributing to a resource intended to support communities in need.
