1The Challenge
What was the challenge?
NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) — the organisation behind UPI, RuPay, IMPS, and FASTag — brought together employees in Mumbai to strengthen collaboration across teams while reinforcing organisational values and leadership behaviours. As organisations grow, teams can become highly specialised, focusing only on individual responsibilities rather than understanding how every role contributes to the larger mission. NPCI wanted participants to experience the importance of cross-functional collaboration, situational leadership, and appreciation for every role within a team structure.
2Our Solution
What solution did we design?
The Thought Bulb designed and facilitated a highly interactive workshop featuring three engaging experiences: Speed Networking to connect colleagues beyond immediate teams, the Tech Terrain Challenge for collaborative problem-solving under pressure, and the Radiant Pyramid Challenge as the centrepiece — a powerful experiential activity demonstrating that no single layer of an organisation is more important than another. Every component is essential to creating a stable and successful structure.
3How We Did It
How was the programme delivered?
The programme began with Speed Networking — a dynamic structured format encouraging participants to connect with colleagues they'd never had a real conversation with, building new connections and discovering shared experiences quickly. The Tech Terrain Challenge then immersed teams in problem-solving tasks requiring communication, collaboration, and quick decision-making — success depended on leveraging diverse strengths and adapting leadership styles. The workshop culminated with the Radiant Pyramid Challenge: as teams constructed and aligned different sections of the pyramid, the key insight emerged organically — every role, regardless of position or function, contributes to the overall mission.
4Key Outcomes
What were the results?
The workshop successfully created an environment where participants could connect, collaborate, and reflect on the importance of collective success. Through experiential learning, teams moved beyond traditional discussions and gained practical insights into leadership, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration. The Radiant Pyramid Challenge reinforced a lasting message: organisational success is built when every individual understands their value and works together toward a common purpose. Participants experienced firsthand that effective leadership is situational and can emerge from any level, and that shared values create stronger, more resilient teams.
