1The Challenge
What was the challenge?
a global technology firm brought together 50 participants in India with a clear mandate: strengthen team cohesion, break down silos, and build the kind of trust that translates into real performance. Thought Bulb facilitated a virtual workshop on developing team working skills for 50 participants from Qualcomm. The workshop aimed to provide a virtual experience of the Mission Moon Lander, allowing participants to appreciate the team development process. Through this experiential activity, the teams had to make critical decisions around people and processes to achieve success.
2Our Solution
What solution did we design?
Thought Bulb proposed the idea of organizing a virtual workshop for Qualcomm, focusing on developing team working skills. The workshop offered a unique experience through the Mission Moon Lander activity, which would allow participants to understand the importance of teamwork, problem-solving, and collaboration in achieving goals. The solution aimed to provide an engaging and interactive virtual experience to enhance the participants' team working abilities.
3How We Did It
How was the programme delivered?
a) Virtual Icebreakers: The program began with Thought Bulb's facilitation team conducting virtual icebreakers to energize and engage the participants. These icebreakers were designed to create a positive and interactive environment, setting the tone for the workshop. b) Mission Moon Lander Activity: Participants were divided into breakout rooms, each with their respective team members. They were presented with the Mission Moon Lander activity, where teams had to navigate challenges and make critical decisions related to people and processes. This virtual experience simulated real-world team dynamics and allowed participants to apply their team working skills.
4Key Outcomes
What were the results?
Following the Mission Moon Lander activity, a detailed debrief session was conducted. Teams discussed the team dysfunctions they encountered during the activity and shared insights on different ways to overcome these dysfunctions. The debrief focused on identifying strategies for improved teamwork, problem-solving, and collaboration to achieve 10X results." 50 participants completed the programme with an overall satisfaction score of 9.0/10. Facilitation quality was independently rated 9.2/10. a global technology firm reported a visible and sustained improvement in cross-team communication in the weeks following the programme — and subsequently engaged The Thought Bulb for a follow-up session.
