1The Challenge
What was the challenge?
OYO brought together their team in India with a clear mandate: strengthen team cohesion, break down silos, and build the kind of trust that translates into real performance. Leaders from across the world gathered for the first global conference in India. Their objective was to break the ice between different groups and build synergy. This was achieved through experiential activity, as well as a series of innovative ice-breakers. The conference concluded with a collaborated big picture that drove a message of togetherness and teamwork.
2Our Solution
What solution did we design?
The Thought Bulb designed a fully custom in-person Team Bonding Offsite across India for the team. Every element was built from scratch around OYO's objectives — the challenge design, team compositions, facilitation rhythm, and debrief structure were all tailored to produce specific outcomes. The programme blended structured problem-solving with high-energy collaborative challenges, ensuring both sustained engagement and genuine behavioural learning throughout. No off-the-shelf modules, no generic facilitation — every minute of the session was intentional.
3How We Did It
How was the programme delivered?
The conference employed various methods to achieve its objectives. Two notable tools used were the Big Ben Challenge and the Million Pixels Challenge. The Big Ben Challenge involved participants working together to solve complex puzzles and challenges, fostering effective communication and collaboration. The Million Pixels Challenge required participants to contribute to creating a large picture composed of many pixels. Each person's contribution played a vital role in completing the picture, highlighting the importance of collaboration. Additionally, a series of innovative ice-breakers were incorporated into the program to encourage interaction and dialogue among the attendees. These ice-breakers were designed to promote open communication, build trust, and establish a sense of camaraderie.
4Key Outcomes
What were the results?
The conference successfully achieved its objective of breaking the ice between different groups and building synergy. The experiential tools and innovative ice-breakers created an engaging environment where leaders could connect and collaborate. The Big Ben Challenge and the Million Pixels Challenge showcased the power of teamwork and emphasized the significance of collective effort. " The team completed the programme with an overall satisfaction score of 9.6/10. Facilitation quality was independently rated 9.8/10.
