1The Challenge

What was the challenge?

ITC's sales team came to The Thought Bulb with a brief that was refreshingly direct: make it scream fun. With a separate team-building event already on the calendar, this was a day purely for play — spanning junior to senior levels across 8 internal units. With 180–200 participants, a mixed seniority range, and a full day to fill, the experience needed energy from the first hour to the last — structured enough to feel like a competition, loose enough to feel like a celebration. For a sales team that spends most of its time focused on targets and performance, a day designed purely around joy was exactly the reset they needed.

2Our Solution

What solution did we design?

The Thought Bulb designed the ITC Olympics — a full-day sports festival split across two distinct arenas and two very different energies. The morning and afternoon belonged to the basketball court: indoor sports with live commentary, scorekeeping, and a genuine competitive format with trophies on the line. The evening shifted to the pool area for Minute to Win It pool games — fast, chaotic, hilarious, and purely for fun. Colour-coded wristbands and ribbons gave every participant a team identity from the moment they arrived. A pre-event guide covering games and format was shared in advance so participants arrived ready to compete.

3How We Did It

How was the programme delivered?

The day ran across two phases: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM was Indoor Olympics on the basketball court, with teams competing across indoor sports, live commentary keeping energy high, and a dedicated scorekeeping system tracking every point. Trophies for winners gave the indoor games real stakes. From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the pool area took over — Minute to Win It pool games brought a completely different energy: splashy, spontaneous, and entirely about laughter. A team of 7–8 facilitators managed commentary, scoring, game facilitation, and energy across both venues simultaneously, ensuring the Olympics feel was consistent from the opening war cry to the final pool game.

4Key Outcomes

What were the results?

The ITC Olympics delivered exactly what the brief asked for: an experience that screamed fun from start to finish. The two-phase format — competitive indoor sports followed by playful pool games — gave the day a natural arc that kept energy high across a full six hours without ever dragging. The colour-coded team identities, live commentary, and trophies elevated the indoor phase into something that felt like a real sporting event. The pool games brought it home on a high — the kind of ending that has people talking about the day long after they've dried off. 180–200 participants. Two arenas. One unforgettable Olympics.
