What was the challenge?
Comviva brought together their team in Bali with a clear mandate: strengthen team cohesion, break down silos, and build the kind of trust that translates into real performance. Managers from across the country gathered in Bali for a 3-day immersive engagement experience designed for Comviva. The workshop focused on collaboration, problem-solving, and team bonding through highly interactive and story-driven challenges.

What solution did we design?
The engagement featured two large-scale immersive experiences — the Missing Boss Challenge and the Upside Down Challenge — both designed to combine storytelling, teamwork, and strategic thinking in a highly engaging format.
3How We Did It
How was the programme delivered?
On Day 1, participants were divided into 9 teams for the Missing Boss Challenge, where they investigated the mysterious kidnapping of their own CFO. Customized crime scenes with AR clues, evidence trails, and interactive setups transformed participants into detectives as teams collaborated across locations to uncover the culprit. Day 2 introduced the Upside Down Challenge, inspired by Stranger Things. Teams worked through layered escape-box puzzles that eventually led to a collaborative finale where participants used lasers and reflectors to "destroy" a digital portal together. The final day began with a blooper video featuring fun moments and highlights from the previous challenges, bringing the group together with laughter and shared memories.
4Key Outcomes
What were the results?
The workshop demonstrated the impact of immersive experiential learning in strengthening collaboration, communication, and problem-solving. Through storytelling, gamification, and shared challenges, participants from Comviva built stronger interpersonal connections while creating memorable experiences together. The team completed the programme with an overall satisfaction score of 9.6/10. Facilitation quality was independently rated 9.7/10. Comviva reported a visible and sustained improvement in cross-team communication in the weeks following the programme — and subsequently engaged The Thought Bulb for a follow-up session.
