What was the challenge?
BCG brought together their team in India with a clear mandate: strengthen team cohesion, break down silos, and build the kind of trust that translates into real performance. BCG organizes the prestigious annual event, Social Impact Day, aiming to engage their entire Gurgaon office and empower employees to contribute to society based on their passions. The organizing team had a clear objective of providing a holistic and fulfilling experience to participants.

What solution did we design?
To meet the objectives, we proposed conducting multiple activities simultaneously, allowing participants to pre-register and choose workshops aligned with their interests. This approach offered a comprehensive and customized experience for BCG employees.
3How We Did It
How was the programme delivered?
Team Thought Bulb organized a mega event comprising six CSR in-person activities closely aligned with the theme of sustainability, a core vision of BCG. Activities like Victory Wheels, Social Elf Challenge, and Birdie Kit Pack took place at the BCG office in Gurgaon. Additionally, activities such as Beautify & Bloom (a combination of wall painting, plantation drive, and bench making), Trash to Treasure, and Pawfect Homes were conducted at nearby NGOs. For remote participants, a Virtual Boot Camp called Future Leaders Workshop was facilitated for kids from a local NGO. During the first half of the day, participants engaged in their chosen activities, and in the second half, a thorough discussion took place, highlighting the impact made by the BCG team. All the items created by participants were donated to local NGOs and animal shelters, and a comprehensive video montage captured the essence of the event. Each activity was led by a subject matter expert and a dedicated team to ensure smooth program flow and optimal results.
4Key Outcomes
What were the results?
During the debrief session, participants reflected on their collective effort to create change in society through the celebration of Social Impact Day. The diverse range of activities allowed individuals to make a difference according to their passions and skills. By donating their creations and engaging in meaningful workshops, participants actively contributed to local NGOs and animal shelters, aligning with BCG's vision of sustainability. The event showcased the positive impact achieved by the BCG team, reinforcing their commitment to social responsibility and making a lasting difference in the community.
The team completed the programme with an overall satisfaction score of 9.6/10. Facilitation quality was independently rated 9.8/10. BCG reported a visible and sustained improvement in cross-team communication in the weeks following the programme — and subsequently engaged The Thought Bulb for a follow-up session.
