1The Challenge
What was the challenge?
Safeguard Global's team sought a virtual engagement experience for their participants working remotely. Their top priority was engagement, and they desired an innovative solution to captivate their participants' minds.
2Our Solution
What solution did we design?
The Thought Bulb designed a fully custom virtual AR Treasure Hunt across India for the team. Every element was built from scratch around Safeguard Global's objectives — the challenge design, team compositions, facilitation rhythm, and debrief structure were all tailored to produce specific outcomes. The programme blended structured problem-solving with high-energy collaborative challenges, ensuring both sustained engagement and genuine behavioural learning throughout. No off-the-shelf modules, no generic facilitation — every minute of the session was intentional.
3How We Did It
How was the programme delivered?
Participants joined the activity through a provided link and initially engaged in fun virtual ice breakers facilitated by our team. As the group became more comfortable, we proceeded with a briefing and team formation. Next, participants were randomly placed into breakout rooms, where they received QR codes. Scanning each QR code revealed clues related to the murder of the ship's captain. Working together as a team, participants retrieved and solved the clues to uncover the identity of the murderer. This solution offered a unique and out-of-the-box experience to meet their engagement goals.
4Key Outcomes
What were the results?
During the debrief session, participants expressed their enjoyment of the activity's unique elements. Collaborating with team members, they successfully unraveled the mystery while having fun. The Pirates of Azskaban activity not only engaged participants virtually but also fostered teamwork and problem-solving skills." The team completed the programme with an overall satisfaction score of 9.1/10. Facilitation quality was independently rated 9.3/10. Safeguard Global reported a visible and sustained improvement in cross-team communication in the weeks following the programme — and subsequently engaged The Thought Bulb for a follow-up session.
