1The Challenge
What was the challenge?
SRF wanted a team-building experience that was genuinely fun — no heavy learning agenda, no elaborate debrief framework. Just a well-designed activity that would bring 60 people together, get them moving and collaborating, and leave them with a shared experience worth remembering.
The venue set a high bar. ITC Mughal is not a backdrop you ignore — it’s a setting that demands an experience with presence and craft. The programme needed to feel worthy of where it was happening.
2Our Solution
What solution did we design?
The AR Indoor Treasure Hunt was the natural fit — a technology-led activity that uses augmented reality to layer digital clues and challenges onto the physical environment, turning the venue itself into the playing field. Teams navigate through AR-powered checkpoints, solving puzzles and completing challenges that demand communication, quick thinking, and teamwork.
At ITC Mughal, the format took on a particular richness. The venue’s corridors, gardens, and spaces became part of the hunt — giving the activity a sense of exploration and discovery that an ordinary room could never provide. The AR layer added novelty and excitement for participants who had experienced more conventional team activities before, making this feel fresh and genuinely different.
The programme was designed to be exactly what it was asked to be: fun team building, executed well, in a venue that deserved the effort.
3How We Did It
How was the programme delivered?
60 participants were divided into teams and set loose on the AR Indoor Treasure Hunt at ITC Mughal. Each team navigated the hunt using augmented reality — scanning, solving, and racing through checkpoints spread across the venue, with the leaderboard tracking every team’s progress in real time.
The ITC Mughal setting elevated every element of the experience. The architecture, the gardens, the sheer scale of the property — all of it became part of the activity, giving teams a sense that they were exploring something genuinely magnificent while competing against each other. The AR layer meant that the same stunning surroundings revealed new layers and surprises that weren’t visible to the naked eye alone.
The programme ran as a self-contained experience — energetic, well-paced, and designed to keep every team fully absorbed from the first checkpoint to the last.
4Key Outcomes
What were the results?
The AR Indoor Treasure Hunt delivered exactly what SRF came for: a fun, high-energy team-building experience that felt entirely at home in one of India’s most prestigious venues. The combination of technology and exploration gave the activity a quality that participants hadn’t encountered before — and the ITC Mughal setting meant that every moment of the hunt was set against a backdrop worth remembering.
For a group looking for genuine fun and connection, the activity delivered both — through competition, through collaboration, and through the shared experience of navigating something new and exciting together.
60 participants. One iconic venue. A treasure hunt that made the most of both.
