1The Challenge

What was the challenge?

BCG brought together 450 participants in Delhi with a clear mandate: strengthen team cohesion, break down silos, and build the kind of trust that translates into real performance. 450 participants from BCG embarked on an extraordinary space-themed team-building expedition in collaboration with The Thought Bulb at Pullman, Delhi. This full-day immersive experience was meticulously crafted to deliver innovative learning outcomes, fostering collaboration, customer-centricity, & inclusion across the teams.

2Our Solution

What solution did we design?

The program was meticulously designed and curated to align with BCG’s core values at every stage. The centrepiece, Lost In Space, guided participants through challenges that promoted collaboration, accountability, trust, excellence, and customer-centricity—key tenets of BCG’s mission. The activity was seamlessly integrated into the day’s agenda, driving teams to embody these values through experiential learning.

3How We Did It

How was the programme delivered?

The space-themed intervention took participants on an immersive space adventure where teams collaborated to solve a series of challenges, gradually unlocking layers of the expedition. Teams were divided into small groups, each receiving a 5-layer Space Kit containing clues and a symbolic space suit. The journey required participants to solve different types of challenges—including logic, cryptic, maze, and analytical tasks—each layer acting as a gateway to the next. As teams cracked codes and completed each layer, they uncovered two keywords in each layer, that represented the organization's values. These words were later discussed during the debrief, allowing participants to connect the challenge-solving experience to the company’s core principles, and fostering deeper understanding and alignment with the organization’s values throughout the workshop.

What were the results?

The program had a transformative impact on team dynamics, with participants reflecting on how their collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills had evolved. The energetic and engaging workshop not only provided a day of fun and innovation but also left a lasting impression on participants, reinforcing BCG’s core values. By the end of the day, teams were able to internalize and apply these principles more effectively in their professional environments, solidifying the connection between the learning outcomes and BCG’s mission of excellence. 450 participants completed the programme with an overall satisfaction score of 9.3/10. Facilitation quality was independently rated 9.5/10. BCG reported a visible and sustained improvement in cross-team communication in the weeks following the programme — and subsequently engaged The Thought Bulb for a follow-up session.
