During the debrief, the following key points were addressed:
a) The Build a Bicycle Challenge enabled Team KPMG to make a significant difference in the lives of 40 kids. By assembling and gifting bicycles to these children, the participants provided them with an invaluable opportunity for transportation, exploration, and joy.
b) The challenge served as a team building activity that facilitated collaboration, communication, and shared goals among the 400 KPMG employees. By working together to assemble the bicycles, the teams strengthened their bonds, fostered a sense of unity, and experienced the power of collective giving.
c) The program highlighted the power of giving back to the community. Participants witnessed firsthand the positive impact they could make by leveraging their skills, resources, and time to improve the lives of others. They gained a deeper understanding of the joy and fulfillment that comes from giving selflessly.
d) The Build a Bicycle Challenge facilitated KPMG's engagement with the local community and the NGO. The challenge fostered a sense of corporate social responsibility and encouraged participants to be more involved in community initiatives."
400 participants completed the programme with an overall satisfaction score of 9.2/10. Facilitation quality was independently rated 9.4/10. KPMG reported a visible and sustained improvement in cross-team communication in the weeks following the programme — and subsequently engaged The Thought Bulb for a follow-up session.
